UPDATED August 3, 2025<
On July 29, 2025 at 10:16 pm CDT, we received an email from "The Facebook Team" letting us know that we were back on Facebook. We had generated pounds of paper correspondence, many emails and had contacted many legal entities and attorneys in an attempt to "mitigate before we litigate." While we are back to posting on social media, and have added two new social media platforms, we will always first and foremost post our articles and blog posts on our website that we maintain and control. Social Media is a great extension of a website, but it is never, truly yours
This entire ordeal served as a powerful reminder of the importance of "owned media." We have taken this opportunity to restructure our online presence to be more resilient. While we will continue to use social media for outreach and to connect with our community, our core strategy will always be to direct you to our website, where our full and most valuable content resides. This ensures that our relationship with you remains direct, secure, and free from the whims of a third-party platform. We are back and more committed than ever to serving your IT needs.
We want to inform our valued readers and followers about a recent, unexpected interruption in our ability to consistently share updates on Facebook and other Meta-owned platforms.
All of our blog posts are always published directly on our website under the KNOWLEDGE >> BLOG section. While we actively share these posts across various social media channels to reach a wider audience, we want to clarify that we did not choose to stop posting on Facebook or other Meta-owned properties. Instead, our ability to post was revoked without explanation or an opportunity to appeal, despite our numerous attempts to resolve the issue.
This situation began shortly after June 17, 2025, when a personal Facebook account associated with our team was taken down. This action appears to be linked to a legitimate security awareness post titled "Phishing Scam Mimics Google Program To Hack Facebook Accounts," which merely highlighted a prevalent online threat. Unfortunately, Meta's automated moderation system seems to have misinterpreted the content due to keywords like "Facebook" and "Hacking" in the title, leading to a punitive action without human oversight.
We believe that Meta's reliance on Artificial Intelligence for content moderation, without a robust human fallback or an accessible appeals process, is a significant flaw in their system. While this approach may save them labor costs, it unfortunately undermines the very purpose of social media: to connect and share information.
This interruption of service has had a profound impact. Not only has it hindered our ability to consistently share our content with our Facebook audience, but it has also severed crucial connections for the personal account involved, affecting participation in support groups, vendor communications, peer networks, and even family and community interactions. It's truly astonishing how much we've come to rely on platforms like Facebook for daily news, weather updates, traffic information, and more, only to find access controlled by an unthinking, unfeeling "bot" with no system of appeal or justice.
Meta Platforms has made themselves virtually unreachable, untouchable, and seemingly unaccountable for issues arising from their AI moderation system.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause you in receiving our updates through Facebook. We understand that many of you rely on that platform for your news feed. Due to these ongoing issues and our inability to secure reliable service, we are unfortunately hesitant to depend on Instagram or any other Meta-owned property for consistent updates going forward.
We will continue to publish all our blog posts here on our website. You can also find our regular updates and engage with us on our other trusted platforms, including LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and Google My Business. While our Facebook page may receive occasional, random updates, we are actively encouraging our followers to connect with us on these alternative social media channels for the most reliable and consistent information.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
